A 24-month fellowship for provisionally licensed counselors and social workers in North Carolina. We supply the clients, the supervision and the systems. You do the clinical work and finish licensed.
Most associates pay $100 to $150 an hour for supervision and spend their first year hunting for clients. Converge flips that. Supervision is included, the calendar is filled from the practice's intake and from reduced-fee community slots, and your sessions are documented and billed through the practice so your hours are clean and countable.
One hour of individual supervision for every 40 hours of practice, plus a two-hour monthly group by video. Supervisors are board-qualified: an LCMHCS for counseling associates and a qualified LCSW supervisor for social work associates. Supervision contracts are filed with your board before your first session.
Reduced-fee telehealth clients from the practice's community program, Medicaid clients once your enrollment is active, and program placements for social work associates. Target: 12 sessions a week by month three, 20 by month six.
A share of what your sessions collect, paid monthly, with supervision included at no cost. Details in the fellowship agreement.
On full licensure, fellows move onto the practice's insurance panels as contract clinicians at the standard contractor share, with a path to leadership for those who open a service line or a new state.
| Source | Who | Opens |
|---|---|---|
| Reduced-fee telehealth clients through the practice | All associates | At start |
| NC Medicaid clients under your own supervised enrollment | All associates | After enrollment, about 90 days |
| Case management and supportive services in a VA-funded transitional housing program in Winston-Salem | Social work associates | Limited positions |
| EAP, university and community contracts that accept associates | All associates | As contracts open |
Converge does not bill an associate's sessions under a supervisor's name. Every session is billed under your own enrollment, charged as a reduced fee, or funded by a program that pays for the position.
Send a short note and your CV to fellowship@convergebhg.com with your license status, the line you are interested in, and your weekly availability. We review applications monthly and start fellows in cohorts of two to four.
First cohort: January 2027. Social work associates interested in the Winston-Salem program placement may start sooner.
